Tess Carswell is a graduate student at the University of Victoria. Her research aims to
improve quality of life and health care outcomes of lower limb amputees by studying
different perspectives and priorities of males and females in this population.
Tess is running a research study and she’s looking to recruit single-limb, lower limb
amputees to participate. The study involves completing an online survey with the option
for a follow-up interview on zoom. Participants will be asked about their priorities
regarding their prosthetic, quality of life, as well as their unmet needs and what they
believe is missing in research and for available resources.
Participation is maximum 3 hours spread over a few days or weeks depending on your
availability. As well, participants will be compensated for their time. More information
about her research and the study can be found
